ABOUT PROPEXRACING

We are Propex Racing, a team of six 5th year students, from St. Colmans College, representing Ireland in the 2024 F1 in Schools World Finals, the worlds largest STEM competition. Our team is one of three Irish teams qualified for this stage of the competition, after finishing 2nd in the 2023 F1 in Schools Irish Nationals competition.

F1 In Schools

The F1 in Schools competition is a globally recognized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiative that challenges students to design, manufacture, and race miniature Formula 1 cars. The competition offers a unique platform for young minds to engage in real-world engineering and project management experiences.

Diarmuid O'Connell

Diarmuid's job is to ensure that the whole team consistently contributes to the competition and his communication skills allow him to serve as a reference point when any other member is stuck or confused. .

Design Engineer

Evan Joyce

Evans expertise is showcased through his mastery of various designing softwares. This allows our design concepts to be easily implemented into our car.

Manufacturing Engineer

Paul Clancy

Paul's role in the team is crucial as he must ensure our car abides by all the regulations. As well as this he is in charge of the production and assembly of the car.

Creative Director

Mark Cremin

Marks role in the team is critical as he must create a recognizable brand identity that remains consistent throughout every aspect of the competition. Furthermore, he manages our social media accounts ensuring our content aligns with our target audience

FInance & Marketing Manager

Liam Casey

Liam created the team’s budget and through communication with the rest of the team he continues to modify it as the competition approaches. As Well as this, he implements unique marketing strategies in order to grow publicity for our team and sponsors.

Sponsorship Manager

Darragh Leamy

Darraghs work is the backbone of the competition as he must raise sufficient finances to fund our project. Moreover, he must maintain positve relationships with our ongoing sponsors.
